Candyce is a Korean American actor based in Los Angeles – but her journey to becoming an actor was far from conventional.

Rather than a background or degree in theatre or film production, it was the love of language, culture, and global connection that brought her to acting. She spent her university years studying English, then studied Mandarin while living abroad in Shanghai, China. Post-grad she worked at various entertainment companies such as CJ ENM, HYBE America, and On Demand Korea, where she witnessed the serendipitous ways that navigating her career with a global mindset opened countless unexpected doors.

Determined to collect more unique experiences under her belt, Candyce served in the U.S. Air Force for 6 years, where she traveled all over the world and served in countries like Japan and Germany. Through it all, it was always the sense of global connection that she loved most. She realized that incredible impacts could be made through the telling of multicultural stories — that stories could, in fact, change lives. With this deepened understanding of the power of narrative, she dove straight into the world of on-camera & voiceover acting.

You can see Candyce in commercials for major brands like McDonald’s and Ring, and hear her in dubbing projects for Netflix K-dramas. She hopes to use her military experience and linguistic skills to bring stories to life across commercials, animation, anime, video games, and more.

When she’s not acting, you can find her laughing hysterically with her best friends on a road trip across California, wandering the streets of Seoul or Bangkok with some street-market noodles in hand, or reading her latest fiction book obsession with a cup of steaming hot coffee :)
